Reflection on WINNERS ARREST THEIR DAYS

Our days are very precious gifts from our Maker! Loaded with potentials and possibility, every wise person is expected to arrest each day, lest it flies away, unexploited. Every real citizen of this world is called to grab the day. Don’t allow it to elude you of its blessings and possibilities! Seize each day and don’t allow it to escape from you!  Early morning hours are the precious moments that winners arrest their days. And very early on the first day of the week, they went to the tomb when the sun had risen. These women exploited the power and the immaculate nature of the early morning of the resurrection day. These groups of women who became early risers in that morning of great resurrection became great winners and witnesses of the resurrection.
Every day has to be hedged in prayer. It is the habit of the great winners to begin the day early enough with the Author of the day. The wise have discovered the advantage of soaking each day early enough with the presence of our Maker. They have equally discovered the need of taking over the day from the secret places. Very early enough, before the sun begins, they have taken over the day.
The greatest man in history, Jesus of Nazareth rose early to arrest the day: “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed” (Mk: 35). He consulted the Master of the day, before He consulted any other person. From the solitary place, He took over the day before the dawn of the day. Joshua, the great warrior of old rose early (Josh. 6:12). Moses, the great deliverer of Israel rose early (Ex. 8:20). Abraham, the great Patriarch of the Jewish nation rose early (Gen.19:27). They discovered the secret of early rising and they made use of it and became very successful people. They are conscious of the fact that early mornings are very serene. The morning is the virgin time of the day, very suitable for the mind to ascend higher to God and below to mortal things. It is in this early morning that winners achieve exploit for the day.
You think more clearly in the morning. You can focus on your day more effectively that time. You can freely possess the day at that free moment. The day still remains uncluttered at that time. Real things really happen in the morning. As you accumulate the emotion and stress of the day, the quality of your work and your mind deteriorates. The early morning is the time to make the whole day effective. Because the day is still innocent and virgin at that time, you can seize it from your prayer closet and hand it over to the Author of the day. In your private encounter with the Maker of the day, you can sanctify the day for effective life and impact-making.FURTHER READING: Ps.121
