Reflection on INTERCEDE...!

God uses men to reach men. He uses human instruments to reach human beings. Some people are bridges for others in the plan of God. Real believers are made to be intercessors for the rest of humanity. So the people came to Moses and said: “We have sinned, because we have spoken against the Lord and you; intercede with the Lord, that He may remove the serpent from us”. And Moses interceded for the people. Then the Lord said to Moses: “Make a fiery serpent and set it on a standard; and it shall come about, that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, he will live.” (Nb.21:7-8).
Intercessions are prayers offered on behalf of another. It is often made by close friends of God: prophets and ministers. Their pleading before God is powerful because of their close relationship with God. Their access into the presence of God makes their prayer very intense and victorious. They are quickly heard by the Most High God.
At the moment of calamity, the intercession of intercessors is indispensable. When the people sinned against God, they looked for the pleading of Moses as an intermediary. He interceded with the Most High God who eventually averted the wrath. He bore them on eagle’s wing of prayer and brought them back to God. (Ex.19:4).
The intercession of Moses is always victorious. At a time, he stood on top of the hill with the rod of God in his hands, while Joshua led the troop that fought against the Amalekites. (Ex.17:9). The secret of this powerful intercession is that Moses was so close to God.
You can become so powerful in intercession as soon as you became very close to God. The close friends of God share His heartbeats, penetrate into His presence and bring marvelous changes on earth. You can become a strong intercessor as soon as you became a close friend of God!
